State Government Committee to Hold Hearing on Donor Disclosure and Campaign Finance Regulations: Reviewing Recent Legal Precedents

WHAT: Knowing campaign dollars have major impacts on elections, the House State Government Committee will meet for an informational hearing to review recent legal precedents regarding donor disclosure and campaign finance regulations.
The committee will receive testimony from:
• Jonathon P. Hauenschild, J.D., director of the Communications and Technology Task Force at the American Legislative Exchange Council.
• Daniel I. Weiner, director of elections and government at the Brennan Center for Justice.
• Bradley A. Smith, chairman, and David Keating, president, from the Institute for Free Speech.
• Khalif Ali, executive director of Common Cause PA.
• Philip Hackney, associate professor of law at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.
WHO: Committee Chairman Rep. Seth Grove (R-York) will be joined by committee members.
WHEN: Monday, Feb. 7, at 10 a.m.
WHERE: Room 140 in the Main Capitol, Harrisburg.
