House Government Oversight Committee to Take Testimony at First-Ever Public Hearing

WHAT: The House Government Oversight Committee, chaired by Rep. Seth Grove (R-York), will hold its first-ever public hearing to receive testimony for its investigation into a lobbying disclosure law. The committee is reviewing the Department of State’s implementation of transparency provisions to determine if the goals laid out in the law are being met. Under the law, the department must publicly post on its website filings from lobbyists within seven days of receipt.
WHO: Grove, Democratic Chairman Matt Bradford (D-Montgomery) and members of the House Government Oversight Committee will hear from representatives from the Pennsylvania Department of State and the state Ethics Commission.
WHEN: Monday, Oct. 21, at 8:30 a.m.
WHERE: Majority Caucus room, 140 MC, in the state Capitol.
