Conservative Organization Names Grove Legislator of the Week
February 14, 2018
DOVER – ALEC-FreedomWorks has named Rep. Seth Grove (R-Dover) as its Legislator of the Week for the week of Feb. 12-16.
This is not the first time he’s received prestigious honors from ALEC (the American Legislative Exchange Council). During its Nation Policy Summit in Nashville, TN, he was named Legislator of the Year in 2017.
“It is quite an honor to be recognized for hard work, but to be recognized nationally, twice, by the most conservative organizations in America is quite an accomplishment,” Grove said. “I am humbled and most appreciative of the recognition.”
Grove is a founder and co-chair of the Pennsylvania Taxpayers’ Caucus. In this role, he promotes sound fiscal policy to protect taxpayers. He is an active member of the ALEC Tax and Fiscal Policy Task Force, and in 2016, was selected as a member of the task force’s Executive Committee.
Additionally, Grove is a founding member of the Common Sense Caucus, an ad-hoc group of rank-and-file House Republican members, dedicated to championing transparent policies that facilitate recurring growth in Pennsylvania’s economy, restore public trust and rein in regulations.
Grove is not the first Pennsylvania legislator to be honored by ALEC, the nation’s largest voluntary membership organization of state legislators. In January, the organization named Rep. Ryan Warner (R-Fayette/Westmoreland) as its Legislator of the Week for his work to pass House Bill 110, which provides a constitutional spending limit.
