Spring Grove Soldier Honored with Road Dedication

A portion of Roth’s Church Road is being dedicated as the Corporal Earl H. Markle Memorial Road. U.S. Army Cpl. Earl H. Markle was just 19 years old when he gave his life in the service of the nation during the Korean War. Markle was serving with the 1st Calvary Division when the unit was attacked during the Battle of Unsan in present day North Korea.
