House Professional Licensure Committee to Examine Grove Proposal to Allow Pharmacists to Immunize Children
WHAT: The House Professional Licensure Committee will hold a public hearing to review Rep. Seth Grove’s (R-Dover) House Bill 817, which would allow pharmacists to immunize children. Current law allows pharmacists only to immunize adults.

Julie Harhart (R-Lehigh/Northampton), majority chairman of the committee; members of the committee; Dr. Allen Nussbaum, vice president of the PA Chapter of American Academy of Pediatrics; Dr. Marilyn J. Heine, president of the Pennsylvania Medical Society; Adam C. Welch, president of the Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association; Rick Mohall, director of field clinical services for Rite Aid Corporation; and Al Carter, manager of pharmacy affairs for Walgreen Company.
