Windy Hill Senior Center Receives Grant, Grove and Regan Announce
2/22/2017
HARRISBURG – State Rep. Seth Grove (R-Dover) and Sen. Mike Regan (R-31) announced today Windy Hill on the Campus senior center received an $18,669 grant through the state Department of Aging’s 2016-17 Senior Community Center Award Grant program.

“Windy Hill has long served Spring Grove and the surrounding area by providing a local getaway to older residents while also delivering services, such as Meals on Wheels, to homebound residents. At the center, senior citizens can receive meals, enjoy fellowship with friends and take part in educational, exercise and entertainment programs,” Grove said. “It is important to also note this grant program is funded through the Pennsylvania Lottery so no taxpayer dollars were used.”

Grant money must be used to improve and expand services, such as by advancing projects to modernize facilities, encourage technology improvements, enhance innovative programming, attract new members, build on successful practices and help to meet the needs of center attendees.

“Windy Hill on the Campus has faithfully served our community’s senior population for many years. This well-deserved grant will do much to enhance the quality of life for their residents and staff,” Regan said.
