York County House Members to Honor Desert Shield, Desert Storm Veterans
HARRISBURG – Members of the York County state House delegation are organizing a ceremony to honor veterans of Operations Desert Storm and Desert Shield. In preparation for the event, the group is seeking the names of men and women from York County who served our country in either or both of these conflicts.

“This ceremony will be an opportunity to say ‘thank you’ to these heroes for all they have done for us,” said the delegation members. “If you or someone you know served in either Operation Desert Storm or Operation Desert Shield, please contact your state representative’s office as soon as possible to let us know the veteran’s name.”

The ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 5, at 9 a.m., at the York County School of Technology, 2179 S. Queen St., York.

A breakfast buffet will be provided by PA School of Culinary Arts, a division of YTI Career Institute. The buffet begins at 8:30 a.m., and the ceremony will commence at 9 a.m.
