York County Improved by Businessman, Philanthropist Louis Appell Jr., Says Grove

HARRISBURG –Today, state Rep. Seth Grove (R-York) released the following statement upon learning of the passing of prominent York County businessman and philanthropist Louis Appell Jr.:

“Last evening, York County lost one of the true giants in our community, a man who bettered countless lives through his work as a businessman and philanthropist. Louis J. Appell Jr. was dedicated to improving York County and spent decades supporting non-profit organizations committed to strengthening the arts, education and the economy. His leadership made York County a better place in which to live. My thoughts and prayers are with his family during their time of grief. May we all strive to live by his example.”
