Grove’s School Construction Reform Legislation to Face Public Hearing

WHAT: Public Hearing on House Bill 2124, introduced by Rep. Seth Grove (R-Dover) which would overhaul school construction reimbursement legislation. Known as PlanCon, the current system is time consuming, outdated and inefficient for schools that are not being reimbursed in a timely fashion, or at the levels they were promised.

WHO: House Education Committee, Rep. Grove and testifiers including Acting Secretary Carolyn Dumaresq, Pennsylvania Department of Education; along with representatives from the Pennsylvania Association of School Business Officials; Pennsylvania chapter of the American Institute of Architects; Pennsylvania Association of School Administrators; Pennsylvania School Boards Association; Concerned Contractors of Pennsylvania; Mid Atlantic BX; and General Contractors Association of Pennsylvania.
